Project Com is designed to be a safe, private Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tool. We only collect information strictly necessary to provide our communication features:

• Account Credentials: When a teacher registers a student account via the secure control console dashboard, we store the student’s username and an app password.
• Custom Vocabulary and Multimedia Assets: The App handles custom text strings and images uploaded by authorized educators (Sentence Starters, Action Verbs, Noun Objects, and Support Circle helper profiles) to create personalized communication cards.

2. How Information is Used and Processed

We process information solely to deliver the core features of the App:

• To authenticate students logging into their personalized tablet interface.
• To display the custom visual flashcard grids and support circle roster matching that specific student profile.
• To enable Text-to-Speech (TTS) vocalization and tactile haptic feedback.

3. Data Isolation and Classroom Sandboxing

We enforce strict multi-user sandboxing architecture. Data configured for one student is strictly isolated to that specific student ID. No student can view, search, or access the custom vocabulary, photos, or helper configurations belonging to another user.

4. Offline Storage and Local Caching

To guarantee uninterrupted service in classrooms with unstable internet connections, Project Com securely caches student vocabulary data and image paths locally on the device storage using an encrypted NoSQL framework. This data remains on the device and is completely wiped if the application is uninstalled.

5. Children’s Privacy & COPPA Compliance

Because Project Com is actively used in special education (SPED) environments by children under the age of 13, we adhere to strict privacy safeguards:

• No Behavioral Tracking: We do not track user location, device identifiers, or browsing habits.
• No Third-Party Analytics or Ads: The App is completely free from commercial advertisements, tracking pixels, and third-party analytics toolkits.
• Educator/Parental Control: Student accounts can only be created, modified, or completely deleted by authorized teachers through the secure administrative portal dashboard.

6. Data Security and Sharing

• No Data Selling: We never sell, trade, rent, or lease any student or teacher information to third parties.
• Secure Transmission: All communication between the mobile App, the server framework, and the database occurs over secure, encrypted channels (HTTPS).
